Our History
Juniper Worldwide was founded in 2018 by Tim & Jacque Clowers in response to seeing the opportunity to practically and spiritually meet the short- and long-term needs of those struggling in their city of Knoxville, TN.
After numerous years of serving the homeless community, conducting hundreds of home visits, one on one connections, and hosting countless meals for those needing encouragement. Tim & Jacque received (what many would describe as) a Rhema word from scripture in Isaiah 55:13 (NIV) that says:
Instead of the thornbush will grow the juniper, and instead of briers the myrtle will grow. This will be for the LORD's renown, for an everlasting sign, that will endure forever."
They saw their work being transformed by the power and presence of God into something that would be much MORE than free meals BUT freed lives. Freed lives were the sign that God showed them to reach people.
AND the Lord inspired them to purposely launch Juniper Worldwide Ministries to be a vibrant organization that would literally reach out to every generation for Christ . . . through their unique ability to demonstrate and communicate the love of Christ in meaningful, spiritual, and practical ways.
Juniper trees can symbolize Godly Provision, Protection, and Restoration. The berries are protected by the tree’s thorny leaves. The Juniper wood is never successfully attacked by destructive pests. And it was a crown of thorns that was placed on the head of Christ as he provided for our Salvation through His death and resurrection.
